Working with such organisations as the European Union, the World Food Programme, USAID and other non-governmental and state institutions, they have worked on school building projects, agricultural schemes, emergency relief supply, feeding projects and HIV/AIDS care and education programmes.
These experiences are the motivation behind FacilitAid’s passion to make a difference to the lives of some of the world’s most destitute people.
Since registering as a UK charity in 2002, FacilitAid has worked in several project areas - these include:
Water
80 % of all disease in the world is caused by dirty water.
FacilitAid has worked to construct boreholes in Zambia and Kenya.
Education
113 million children world-wide have never been to school. FacilitAid is building rural and urban schools in the central African country of Burundi.
HIV/AIDS Care
30 million people in sub-Saharan Africa are HIV positive.
FacilitAid is funding groups working in squatter camps and supporting orphanages for HIV/AIDS babies.
Health
FacilitAid has been involved in the production and publication of an Anti Retro-Viral Drug Therapy training manual and a Paediatric Palliative Care manual. It has also funded a building extension at a clinic in Zambia and sent medical equipment to several countries worldwide.
